About GIFTED&GUIDED

Gifted&Guided is a social platform and advisory firm dedicated to supporting gifted adolescents in need of guidance. Giftedness is often accompanied by a wide range of symptoms, either neurodivergent or emotional - often referred to as twice exceptional or 2e.
The term gifted refers to an assessed IQ in the top 2% equivalent to a level above 130/132. It is also the entry level into Mensa High IQ Society, the largest and oldest High IQ society in the world, open to people scoring at the 98th percentile . As the word says, it is a gift - and, at times, a curse. Struggles can stem from issues related to neurodivergence such as ADHD, ADD, ASD to OCD, Hypersensitivity, Depression or simply a sense of isolation and disorientation - to name a few.
Our platform serves as a community hub, linking like-minded individuals with specialized professionals and fostering connections and exchange with one another. We aim to provide a safe space for personal growth and exploration, helping gifted youths and adults overcome the unique challenges they face to reach their full potential and providing them with a supportive community. We believe that every gifted adolescent deserves the chance to minimize the delta between capability and reality.

I am a Swiss/British National living in Zurich, Switzerland. and mother of three teenagers. All three are very different in personality, journey and assessment. They are gifted, members of Mensa High IQ Society, yet all of them with very different profiles and set of struggles. Two of our children are twice exceptional with the dual-diagnosis of mild to severe ADHD. The extent to which their journeys vary is astonishing - from rather smooth sailing to severe mental and physical health struggles and emotional breaking points. By profession I am a journalist and moderator with a background as Financial News Anchor and correspondent for companies like Bloomberg, N24 and CNBC. As event moderator I widened my scope and continue to work freelance as journalist, lector and editor. For years, however, my goal was to study how seemingly equal conditions amongst adolescents can lead to such vastly different paths of ease and pain and how to best assess, help and support each individual with their complex attributes. The answer? The perfect mix of peer support and targeted professional help.
